Civitavecchia Parking

If your European vacation is already underway and you’re driving to Civitavecchia’s port to meet a departing cruise ship, or to pick up passengers from a cruise, then parking will be available. There is a cruise parking facility on site which is only for automobiles driven by people on the ships, and therefore its opening hours are limited to the times when ships are in dock. It has 315 spots for cars (six designated for disabled use) and you can park and walk up to your ship.

There’s a second parking lot nearby called Bramante that does not have the restriction of only being available to people on cruises, so if the port parking lot is full try Bramante instead. It has 183 spaces for cars (six designated for disabled use). The downside of this lot is that it’s located about 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) from the cruise terminal, so you’ll either have to go on a long walk with your luggage or take the cruise shuttle buses that depart every 30 to 45 minutes. The opening hours for the Bramante parking lot are typically 6am until 9pm.

For a regular car the parking fees at both lots are €1 for an hour, €13.60 for a day, and €75.60 for a week. If you’re determined to drive to or from the port, simply pay for the amount of time you’ll need. For example, if you’re only planning to drive to Rome and back the say pay, get the €13.60 day fare. If you’re driving to a cruise and will be away for days buy the week pass.
